On May 24th Mitsubishi Launched their new electric vehicle the i-MiEV (Mitsubishi innovative electric vehicle) in Dublin ahead of the European launch date of October 2010. There are 15 vehicles here and they will be used to help the ESB plan the implementation of their recharging infrastructure.

The i-MiEV itself compares well against its petrol and diesel counterparts with the specifications an comfort levels very similar. Bluetooth, ABS, Aircon, and iso-fix for child seat safety are all available.
The main advantage will be the zero tailpipe emissions!
The top speed will be 130klms with an overnight charge time of 7 hours. There is a quick charge which will give an 80% fill in 30 minutes.
